DESCRIPTION
At the beginning of the academic year, Saotome Hodaka enrolls into Moteshiro Prefectural High School, a former all-girls school that had recently integrated, but discovers it has a male to female ratio of 1:359! While most might think of this as a paradise, the majority of the students are delinquents and Saotome immediately finds himself being extorted by some of the more aggressive girls. However, he is inadvertently saved by Hanako Kuzuryu, a beautiful yankee who just wants to be left alone. Is this the start of a new friendship and how will Saotome's life play out in a school full of troublesome women?

I did not think this would be nearly as enjoyable as I wound up finding it. It really shouldn't work, with a premise right out of a hentai, and the typical tropes and archetypes from stories of this genre, but it does.
This is perhaps the most competent I've ever seen a harem-ecchi rom-com manga written. For the most part, it accomplishes in a chapter what its contemporaries would do in an entire arc (which shows how drawn out these kinds of stories typically are). The characters, though not original, are handled well. They actually experience development (a low bar to clear, but many of this genre fail there). I actually care about the characters, which I didn't expect to going into it. The art's nothing to write home about, but it isn't bad.
I know this is a meme, but I am actually reading it for the plot now (or rather the characters, as it's more on the slice-of-life side of things).
Don't go into this expecting anything more than what it is. Judging it as an ecchi-harem-rom-com it is legitimately very good.
The premise is of a boy, Saotome Hodaka, who goes to a formerly all-girl, now co-ed school, where he is the only male student (I know, like I said, right out of a hentai). There he is used, bullied, and teased by all the girls there. Then, one of the girls, Hanako Kuzuhana, starts to stands up for him. Slowly but surely, Saotome starts to win over the hearts of the girls in the school.
With a premise like that, and the nature of the manga being an ecchi series, you'd probably be surprised to hear I've gotten significantly more heart-boners reading this than I have actual ones (Though if you're interested in reading this for that reason, go ahead. It is an ecchi after all. And who knows, you may just get sucked into the actual story too).
Another surprising thing about this series is how I don't know who to root for. In your typical harem story, there's one—maybe two girls you're rooting for. But here, all the girls are likable, and it really makes it hard to root for just one. Even the most unlikeable, seemingly-irredeemable characters (in the main cast, there are some one-note unnamed side characters who appear once who this doesn't apply to) become loveable.
I am thoroughly excited for the next chapter to come out. After binging the first seventeen chapters and falling in love with the characters (and not just the female characters, the MC is plenty likable on his own), waiting for each new installment is gonna be tough. Unless the story has a serious dip in quality down the line, I'm totally hooked, and you can consider me a new fan.
