Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Game Revealed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Steam

The staff for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., a new version of the Virtua Fighter 5 3D fighting game, revealed during the EVO event on Friday that Sega will release Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam versions will launch on October 30. The PC via Steam release will be a free upgrade for the base Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. game.Those who own the PlayStation 4 version of Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown can purchase Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage at a discount. Any purchased PS4 DLC packs can also be carried over to the PS5 game. A closed beta test for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam will be available in early September.The Switch 2 release is listed as "coming soon." The new version of the game will have a single-player mode. Additionally, the game will feature crosplay functionality and online matches will feature rollback netcode.The new version will also feature Dural as a new playable character.Pre-orders are available now for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and a pre-order bonus will include a Sega Genesis character customization item.Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. launched on PC via Steam on January 28.Ryu ga Gotoku Studio, the SEGA development studio that develops the Like a Dragon/Yakuza games, is handling the new version. The game's new graphics feature new character models, enhancements to the levels, and cinematic improvements.
