Disney+ to Debut Low Life Live-Action Series Based on The Hooligans Webtoon on July 16

Disney+ announced that its new live-action Korean series Low Life — starring Ryu Seung-ryong, Yang Se-jong, and Lim Soo-jung — will debut on July 16.The 11-episode series is based on the webtoon The Hooligans by creator Tae-ho Yoon. Set in a coastal village near Sinan, Low Life follows a group of greedy yet earnest locals who stumble upon a rumor about a sunken treasure ship. The story unfolds as they each scheme, clash, and collaborate in pursuit of buried fortune, blending dark comedy, crime, and character-driven drama.Seung-ryong Ryu plays Gwan-seok Oh, the charismatic leader of the group; Se-jong Yang plays his nephew Hee-dong Oh; and Soo-jung Lim stars as Jung-sook Yang, a shrewd investor behind the scenes.
