Dan Da Dan 2nd Season Anime's Theatrical Screening Earns US$5 Million in U.S.

The screening earned US$192,294 of Friday, US$265,880 on Saturday, and US$215,000 on Sunday.GKIDS began screening DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE in North America on June 6. The film screened in 1,085 theaters and earned an estimated US$3,096,000 in its opening weekend. According to Box Office Mojo and The Numbers, it earned an estimated US$1,508,000 on Friday (including US$532,000 during Thursday previews), US$938,000 on Saturday, and US$650,000 on Sunday.The theatrical premiere of the second season's first three episodes screened in Asia outside of Japan on May 30 from Muse, and screened in Europe on June 7 from ADN. The second season for the anime of Yukinobu Tatsu's DAN DA DAN "paranormal mystery battle & romantic comedy" manga will debut on television on July 3 and will air on MBS and TBS in the "Super Animeism Turbo" programming block.
