DESCRIPTION

The story is set in the distant mountain village of Okukozome-chou. Kasugano Haruka and his twin sister Sora have fond childhood memories of going to the village to visit their grandfather during their summer vacations. However, after losing their parents in an accident, the two must move in with their grandfather.

The twins get reacquainted with their old childhood friend Yorihime Nao, their new classmate Nakazato Ryouhei, the shrine maiden Amatsume Akira, and Akira’s friend Migiwa Kazuha. All seems peaceful and familiar. However, beneath the surface is a secret promise that the twins made with each other long ago, the whereabouts of an important lost item, and the real reason they chose to come back here.

If you want to view Sora's route without the H-scene, READ THE MANGA!

This short manga on one of my favorite series shows exactly what Sora's route is about with that controversial scene, iykyk.

Yosuga No Sora as a whole holds a special place in my heart for its ability to turn such a forbidden subject into a very 
interesting romance story with a ton of conflict and drama. 

In 14 chapters this manga is able to tell the story of Sora and Haru Kasugano and their relationship together perfectly. This manga being adapted from the anime does exactly what i wanted it to do. Give me the conflict, give me the same feeling I got watching Sora's route in the anime.

I absolutely love Sora in this series. Being in and out of the hospital in her early life she never had a normal life, on top of that her parents died at an early point in her life as well. Haru is the only real family she wants to have, she doesnt want to lose him as well, which is why shes so clingy towards him. She hates him going off and trying to develop relationships with the other girls because to her it means hes leaving her behind. You feel for this girl who just wants to be close to the last remaining person she considers family. Are her feelings a bit extreme? sure. Do i understand why she has these feelings towards Haru? Yes. 

Haru in this story is trying to develop a life for himself while trying to help get Sora to break out from her own shell. He just wants a normal life and it's quite apparent as he does try to deflect anything that would break this normal lifestyle. Though as time goes on and it's quite apparent that Sora is not on the same page as him, he has to make a choice. I love how well written his progression is, he doesnt try to give into Sora and her feelings only until he understands its either he loses her and not accept his true feelings or he does understand that his feelings towards Sora are mutual and is able to keep her in his life. 

Theres a comfortable dynamic that the siblings show legit as you open the first volume where Haru is measuring a near fully naked Sora for her school uniform. Its not this awkward interaction they just act like normal people. There are many moments where Sora shows how much she cares for Haru ex. in volume 1 where Haru almost drowns in the school pool, he gets pulled out and Sora is crying her eyes over top of him. She does not want to lose this man! Haru means the world to her and the understanding for that is clear as you continue to read it. 

I want to highlight a few panels in this manga that are super cool. We dont get the AMAZING OST but the panels that are in this manga do really help make up for what it doesnt have.

Overall, YNS manga is a great way to view Sora's route if youre very uncomfortable with over the top ecchi-ness. A great story that provides the right level of conflict and drama. Give it a try! If you want to experience the full experience go watch the anime!
