  Let me tell you why you liked this show and why you should watch this show

  Short answer is regression. That's right. This is a gateway to being a filthy regression MANHWA reading junkie. You might feel some shame but you like it because it works and that is not a bad thing. A main character having foresight to see the future like reloading a save after dying in a game. You get to min max the next few years of your life until the foresight runs out and by the time it does run out, you've gained so much advantage that you can afford to fail! It's safe, fun, and full of possibilities. You gain friends, gifts, relationships, money, loyalty, respect even though you cheated but it's still fun to see someone who is guaranteed to rise up, rather than looking at growing pains. How they rise up and where they go is just as interesting. If you want pain, we have other edgy shows or something like Re:Zero.

  

  Now on to why you should watch this show.
  Honestly I did not expect to enjoy this one since the premise is just an ignorant princess getting executed after failing her country but the show weaved in interesting plot one after another and the best part is it's (almost) episodic until the last arc. The comedy is nice and is probably the second best thing this show can offer aside from regression. It is slightly better than the other comedic shows where the comedy comes from misunderstanding and overthinking because we the audiences know the truth so there's a 4th wall thing going on there.
  It's a simple show so there's not many ways to go wrong but regardless, I appreciate the job done by Storyboard and Director for keeping this show fast paced enough to keep me from getting bored. Maybe it's because I've seen much much worse. There are also a few mild moments where we see the main character appreciate the small things in life so those are nice reminders.

  One last thing, I hope this show does not get a second season for the same reasons I praised it for. Spoiler alert since this section is for people who already finished the anime. I don't see myself getting too much out of this story and I've definitely seen things like these getting dragged out before, like in Otome Game no Hametsu Flag. The fun is when you have foresight and making new allies + getting advantages but the book is gone and the future is no longer the same so we'll be left with a lot of casts + an idiot sandwich mc as a comedic character. If you enjoy the comedy, great! But again, know that the comedy I enjoy is because the audiences (us) know what happened. The irony and misunderstanding is the funni, due to the foresight, not because it's funny regardless of context. The foresight is no more so the party is over in my opinion. That said, it's often fair to disagree when it comes to comedy so I won't double down on this.

  Mia Luna Tear moon doesn't want to be guillotined

  Alright, so this anime leans more into the whole aspect of time-travel rather than your standard mid isekai or reincarnation story. Think Steins;Gate but less complicated. At first, it might seem like reincarnation, but it's really just time-travel. Our antagonist, Mia Luna Tearmoon of the Tearmoon Empire, turns her country into chaos by overspending the country's budget for herself, ignores all her peers, and eventually causes a rebellion within that stands against her. She, to put it bluntly, is a real villainess. After Mia meets her fate of Mr. Guillotine, she suddenly finds herself in the body of a 12-year-old, but not any 12-year-old—herself! That's right, Mia's fate has been reset, and now she is going to change her ways and attitude to avoid getting guillotined. This is a story of redemption and change for our new protagonist. She is a very selfish princess, whom without any care for anyone but herself ends up being the reason she gets executed in the first place, so whether you should feel
  sorry for her not is really up to you

  | Pacing And Execution |
  Early on, the story is pretty good, and it's got a good mix of humor and drama in the mix of everything. Mia isn't some knowledge god, just a victim of her own mistakes, so she eventually stumbles along trying to change her fate and gain new allies, such as her handmaid Anne, who she relentlessly bullied previously, and other notable characters throughout the story. She more or less sometimes goes with the flow if it works out. Somewhere around the middle of the story, the pacing starts to really slow down to the point it might become too boring to sit through or watch the entire thing, but even with that, it's still noticeable but not unbearable.
  The first few episodes really go from 0 to 100 real fast. It really goes hard on showing the abuse Mia went through while being in her cell, and it doesn't shy away from the blood, so it might be a bit much for some people. Even in the end she still has a Mia-First policy and is still a little arrogant sometimes.

  Animation
  One of the major flaws I saw while watching this show is that during some of the dance scenes, they will immediately switch to a really jarring CGI. It's almost like they used MMD/MikuMikuDance, but it's really bad and completely takes you out of the scene. It just feels really off, like they think it looks good or something. Other than that, the music is just okay. The opening is pretty good. One notable thing about this show is just how
  expressive some of the characters are, and it conveys emotion very well.

  Conclusion
  Overall, the show is a solid watch with some flaws here and there, with some okay pacing, and the writing isn't that bad compared to some of the shit I have watched. Overall, this show is worth checking out if you like time-travel and princesses.
