DESCRIPTION
Mika is a draker on the airship Quin Zaza. He earns his livelihood hunting the whales of the sky—dragons! The beautiful beasts are flying treasure troves, providing food and materials, and the Quin Zaza is among the last draking vessels. Mika’s not just a talented hunter; he’s also a gourmand with a refined palette and a taste for the exotic. Between his duties aboard the ship, his ambitions as an eater, and his new job training the rookie dragon hunter Takita, Mika’s days are never boring. But even with the lively crew of the Quin Zaza as his family, the nomadic life of a draker can be lonely and dangerous…

REVIEWS
TempoTheMan
85/100A cooking book disguised as a shonen storyContinue on AniListThis manga can only be described as the title, an episodic manga with a nice crew that harbors every good ol' shonen trope, but not in a bad way. If you're searching for a nice manga to read and not use your brain too much, then i suggest reading further down.
p.s: In this review im not going to talk about every aspect of the series, mostly because theres too much stuff but also because i dont want to get into specifics and spoil the fun of discovering it for the first time.
Plot and Characters (8/10) As I said, this story is episodic, every chapter will be a new little adventure, mainly because this manga has 50 page long chapters, but also because every chapter will have a new recipe to show. be ready to get hungry every time you sit down to read this manga, and get amazed by the creativity of the author for every detailed and unique quisine to the area the crew stumble upon, and if im talking about the crew... The cozy and friendly feeling that the crew gives me every time I read the manga will always be nice and their varied personalities and admittedly regular but unique back stories actually affect and change their personalities and their decision making, which isnt great sometimes because half or the main cast or so are dumber than a rock sometimes. sadly this is the weak part of the story, the main character will always say the same quote of "This looks tasty" or try to steal the food of the crew which gets old quite fast, and some of the things the happen feel forced or cliche from time to time. Another upside im going to talk about briefly (for spoiler reasons) are the places the crew travels to. The story starts slow, but when the world opens the crew meets unique and interesting people with detailed bakcgrounds and new and interesting things to explore and learn, which only gets better by the fact that every place has unique food, tools for cooking and dragons(just more food) that only make the story nicer, of course depending on your toleration of shonen tropes.
Art(10/10) Theres nothing I can really say about the art in the series, its perfect, maybe the only thing i didnt love at the start is the characters' faces, but it didnt bother me after a short while, if you want to experience the art just go read it, and if you're not afraid of spoilers go and search for art on the internet, altho I dont reccomend, it will ruin the fun of discovering the dragons and the shock factor that comes with that.
Conclusion In conclusion, this series is a unique piece of media that can live and even thrive with shonen tropes, and also has a very slow part at the middle of the series, if you get there try to force through it because what awaits after it... is some good shit. Just go into the series not expecting a flawless story and youre gonna enjoy it
