70/100A not-bad story about relationshipsContinue on AniList__Moderate spoilers ahead__ # __Plot:__ Ten Serizawa decides to stop taking 2-hour trips to school and moves into a boardinghouse thanks to her friend. She starts to make friends with everyone who lives there, more specifically with Chiaki and Riku. # __Story: __ At first, it doesn’t seem much, just about a girl showing her day-to-day experiences in the boarding house. The first half of the series focuses on developing Riku and Ten’s relationship. Which I think was pretty good; at least you didn’t have to wait till the last chapter for them to confess their feelings. However, the remaining six volumes are where things get saddening. It then focuses on a new objective: ending the ongoing rivalry between Riku and Rei. # __Ten: __ Ten is an honest girl who overthinks sometimes but doesn’t dance around her feelings. She cares about others’ feelings and how they may affect the people living in the boarding house. She wants to help Riku and it is shown throughout the story. One weird thing is that she first says that she likes Chiaki but then pulls an uno reverse and goes, “Never mind I like Riku.” It’s understandable why she rejected Riku in the first volume because they barely knew each other, but I wished we could’ve seen more of Ten’s thoughts and what made her conclude that she liked him.
# __Chiaki:__ Chiaki is a supporting character in the story. We see him constantly quote things from the books he reads, which is quite interesting. Although he appears to be a loner, he’s really caring. I thought this would be the guy Ten would choose, so I was somewhat disappointed. He wanted Ten and Riku to get together. Even when Ten fell in love with Riku and confessed, the author didn’t just let him fade away. Even when Riku was dealing with so much drama, he was still there.
# __Riku: __ Riku is a boy that Ten starts dating. It saddened me when we found out that he had some family drama behind him. Riku had a lot going on, leaving him sad and alone. It makes him believe that he doesn’t deserve to feel happiness. Of course, he doesn’t tell anybody this and continues putting on a fake smile to show that everything is ok, even when it isn’t. His feelings seemed to have come out more when Ten learned about his background and how much she was willing to help him.
# __Rei: __ Rei is a character that used to get on my nerves when he was first introduced. He was annoying and called Ten ugly when he looked no better than her. It’s not only till we find out that he’s suffering on the inside. He wants the feud to end despite how much he hates his brother. # __Cons ( regarding the characters mentioned above ):__ I don’t think there are too many, but this series has a few cons. There are instances where it’s hard to tell who is speaking in certain situations, which can confuse the reader. The comedy was alright, but it wasn’t super funny. It’s also hard to tell when you’ve started a new chapter. The site says there are 67 chapters, but it felt like there was half of that. I assumed that each volume had three chapters. Of course, that could be my problem lmao. # __Overall: __ This manga was alright. It has a few flaws, but overall it wasn’t terrible. It’s currently 4 am where I live, and my computer is about to die, so I won’t write anymore.
