With dark plots comes great responsibility...
and while this work is meant to fetishize the occurrence of rape, manipulation, stalking, blackmail, etc, it never shies away from their true horror. The author makes a point to show the impact of events on all those involved in a way that is on the more realistic side, while also using that to their advantage when it comes to seducing the reader. While our female MC is subjected to the terror of others, we also see why her addiction to pleasure is so strong. When sex turns dark, it does not become unreadable for females either - opting for a "body pleasure, mental torture" approach rather than simply ravaging.
The plot, however, undeniably weakens in the last chapters, leading to an ending that reads as lazy rather than edgy, as the author may have thought an audience would settle for. The choices made in the final chapters result in a substantial loss of quality, losing not only a powerful plot line as you will see, but also a chance for a more meaningful work overall. This error has been what's led to a majority of my point-docking.
Characters
The characters are definitely a positive aspect of this work. The objectification of varying types of women leads to an entertaining read as all succumb to the pleasures of a man yet have their own unique charms. Even while seduced in this twisted harem, each maintains their own sense of independence, acting out and adding to the plot in ways that create balance and progression. The archetypes they all fall into ensure everyone can find something they enjoy, the ladies including: A Wife, A Yandere, A Mother, Sex Workers. The male characters have their contrasting charms(or lack thereof) - A Husband, A Stalker, and a Part-Timer. It doesn't end there, offering others along the way to stir up the reader's excitement, constantly offering more chances for pleasure to win.
Art
The art is pleasant, with uniqueness regarding style, coloring, and even line work that I believe anyone can enjoy. This is pleasantly paired with characters of different styles and a long list of expressions showcased. I appreciate the male MC not being given less attention when drawn, with some of the best expressions being found on his character.
Reading Experience
This is the straight manga to convince me to give the heteros a chance. While I began my read with the objective of finding merely good smut, my experience scanning through with ease resulted in becoming emotionally attached to the female MC and rooting for certain pairings to work out. The plot was unpredictable at points, while also seducing you with the fear of what was to come. I truly was shocked at some scenes. As you go through the chapters, you find yourself imagining not only how the stalker will progress in his insanity and whether the wife will ever truly break for him, but about the circumstances of side-characters as well and more minor plot points. A truly intriguing and exciting read.
